Core Beliefs
Scripture
-
We believe that all Scripture is the inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings.
-
We believe that Scripture alone is the only absolutely authoritative rule for Christian faith and life leading us in all truths and practices as an inerrant and infallible guide.
-
We believe that Scripture is given as the complete revelation of God’s will necessary and sufficient for our salvation and godliness.
-
We believe that there can be no saving knowledge of God apart from His revelation in Scripture.
-
We believe that it is our duty to preach and teach the whole counsel of God’s Word to build up His kingdom and His church.
God
-
We believe that there is only one true God, the Creator of all things and the Redeemer of His people, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three distinct persons are one, true, eternal God.
-
We believe that the eternal Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who created all things out of nothing and who continues to uphold and rule them by His providence, is our God and Father because of Christ His Son.
-
We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God and the Savior of the world. Although He is very God of very God, He became human for us and our salvation, dying and rising from the dead to give us eternal life. We believe that Christ who ascended to heaven and is now seated at the right hand of the Father is building His kingdom of grace and glory. And His kingdom will know no end.
-
We believe that the Holy Spirit is eternal God who has been given to us personally by the Father and the Son. We believe that through true faith, the Spirit makes us share in Christ and all His blessings, sanctifies us, comforts us, and remains with us forever.
-
We believe that all things exist for God’s glory and His glory alone. All things exist for His pleasure and delight, not ours. The chief end that we must seek in all that we do must be the glory of God. God is zealous for His glory and seeks it above all else. We believe that the glory of God is the ultimate reason for the church’s existence.

Creation
-
We believe that God created everything out of nothing for His own glory.
-
We believe that God also provided for everything He made, creature and creation alike.
-
We believe that God created people in His image and promised to fellowship with His children. The Bible calls this covenant. The Garden of Eden was a place of covenant keeping. God loved and cared for Adam and Eve, and they loved and served God in return.

The Fall
-
We believe that sin, which entered the world through the disobedience of Adam and Eve, worked havoc with this beautiful arrangement. God and fallen mankind separated; Adam and Eve were driven from Paradise.
-
We believe that people, by nature, are dead in sin and completely unable to save themselves from sin and its consequences or make themselves right with God.

Salvation
-
We believe that God never turned His back on the covenant promises. God sent His Son Jesus Christ to seek and save sinners, and, through the Holy Spirit, to restore them to Himself for loving fellowship and service.
-
We believe that this great salvation is from start to finish the product of God’s grace. Thus we call it sovereign grace. Believers walk with God in a new covenant, the covenant of grace.
-
We believe that serving God as our sovereign Lord in this covenant spans our entire existence, here as well as in heaven.
-
We believe that salvation is one of wholeness. Because both creation and redemption (re-creation) are God’s work, we believe that our ultimate purpose in life is to glorify God and to enjoy Him forever. That means that God’s people serve Him everywhere-in our personal life, in society, as well as in the church of course.
-
We believe that through Christ, the entire world is now the place of covenant keeping and we can serve our Lord and King. “For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever! Amen” (Rom 11:36). As such, we believe that sovereignty of God is the basic principle of our faith and life
Justification
-
We believe that we are made right with God because of Christ. Because Christ lived the perfect life for us and bore our punishment in our place on the cross, we can stand right with God in Christ. He is our pardon and our perfection. We believe that Christians are blessed with every spiritual blessing in Christ.
-
We believe that people are made right with God by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone. When we were unlovable and unacceptable, God loved us and accepted us unconditionally, simply, and purely because of faith in Christ. We believe that while we are made right with God through faith alone, true faith is never alone. Faith always produces faithfulness that stems from deep gratitude.
-
We believe that we are forever indebted to God’s amazing grace. Grace is God loving us and caring for us in spite of our sin. God shows His common grace to all sinners alike. God shows His saving grace to all elect sinners alike. We believe that the church is here to celebrate God’s amazing grace in Christ and welcome all peoples to come and experience it for themselves.

Church
-
We believe that the church is a community chosen for eternal life and united in true faith by Christ through His Spirit and Word.
-
We believe that this community includes all believers from the beginning of the world to its end as Christ gathers, protects, and preserves His church for Himself.
-
We believe that the church is the kingdom of Christ and the body of Christ on earth, of which all believers are members.
-
We believe that members of this community have the privilege of sharing in Christ and in all His treasures and gifts. But we also believe that we share the responsibility to use these gifts, readily and cheerfully, for the service and enrichment of the other members.
-
We believe that the members of Christ’s body are built up in the church as we receive His grace through His ordained means and as we edify one another through loving fellowship.
-
We believe that baptism and Lord’s Supper are signs and seals of our new life in Christ and of our membership in His church. We baptize our children because God’s covenant promises are for us and our children.
The Last Things
-
We believe that our Lord Jesus Christ will come again with glory to judge the living and the dead.
-
We believe that Christ, having stood trial in our place before God and so having removed the whole curse from us, will take all His chosen ones into the joy and the glory of heaven. But all His enemies He will condemn to everlasting punishment.
-
We believe in the resurrection of the body and the life everlasting. The wicked will be resurrected to shame and suffering of eternal punishment in hell. But the righteous in Christ will be resurrected to the glory of eternal life and fellowship with God in heaven.
